Why it is important for businesses to integrate with Web3.
Innovation is not narrow, it pivots
It’s extremely important and required that a business looks into Web3. There’s an incredible opportunity for a business to lead in one of the fastest-growing industries. You can think of this as future-proofing your business, brand, and clients.
Think about how Web2 drastically changed things for businesses. For example, remember how brick-and-mortar stores didn’t have online websites? Because of the growth of the internet, people were asking these places,
“Hey, do you have a website? I would like to order this product as I’m not able to purchase it at this moment?”.
The stores that said no did themselves a huge disservice because they were missing out on potential sales and traffic from a booming industry. They didn’t think it was important for their revenue stream and then eCommerce exploded; especially for the global market (eBay, Alibaba, Amazon, etc).
The businesses that implemented their brand online, captured a huge market share of that particular industry they were in. The traffic, revenue, and brand awareness are now embedded into those companies' footprints. After everything exploded, the businesses that said no were scrabbling to put together their online presence and regain their customer base; but in most cases, it was too late.
The same example is with mobile payments with your phone instead of using debit cards or carrying your wallet.
“If you do not innovate, you get left behind.”
Now, we are at Web2 and entering the early stages of Web3. The next evolution of how we interact online. Why would you not want to get ahead of the curve, so you won’t end up in a Blockbuster situation? No jab to Blockbuster, those are memories I cherish.
You have the chance to capture and lead in your industry when it comes to commerce and doing business. You will have customers who will begin to ask,
“Hey, do you accept Bitcoin or crypto?”.
Despite what you may or may not believe, you will be missing out on a multi-trillion dollar asset class. The technology is here, people are building, and the value is growing.
Now, imagine if you said,
“Why yes, we do accept crypto. Which assets would you like to pay with?”.
The customer has now found their favorite place to shop because
- It saves them money on fees when they don't have to convert into fiat and pay.
- It’s incredibly efficient for them because they also save time and they prefer to use this method.
- You are contributing to a new asset class that will help you reap the benefits of a growing online ecosystem.
What are you waiting for; it’s time to pivot.
