To understand perspectives, you have to imagine the realities.

As you go through different levels and perspectives about things; you’ll begin to understand how people make decisions, their mindset, and how they care about things. You just have to have the ability to put yourself in their shoes.

Why did I make these decisions? Was it because I wanted this outcome or was it pressured into me to make this decision; for example, religion, family, or culture?

And I think it’s fascinating to ask yourself, okay, they made this decision, I felt some way about it, and if it was me, I wouldn’t have, etc..- okay, set my emotions and thoughts aside; let me look at it from their perspective now.

If this was my environment, where I grew up, how my family was, my culture; based on all of these circumstances. Would I have made the same choice as them? It could be anybody.

Hmm. Interesting.

Imagine; you grew up in a broken family, dysfunctional, bad communication, and you never really had a chance to express yourself; how would you behave? Would you act a certain way? And I know we all had those thoughts;

“ Man, if I had their money, I would not be spending it on that. There are way too much important things to worry about…”

And we develop a preconceived notion about that decision. We be like,

“Ugh, is that how you think?” Kidding. Lol.

Now, look at it from their perspective, their environment, and their experience’ and they were never able to experience any else. Now once you start to understand, you can have some level of humility to understand their viewpoint. Not saying you agree or disagree with what this person values, and beliefs, but to understand why, and, probably would I have done the same thing if I was actually in that position.

We’re basically reviewing those decisions but the people who made them are actually going through it live like you’re streaming on Twitch. There isn’t a rewind button on that decision; you don’t get to make it and then rewind back if that was what you actually wanted, meant to do, etc; based on that decision reflecting to their own lives. Most people, probably don’t really care. Not in the way that they could.

And what if they were pressured to make that decision; but unexpectedly, rewarded in some way to make that decision? It could be money, love, vulnerability, recognition, or people understanding your viewpoint, it’s almost like you’re incentivized to do it. So, you continue to make those types because it’s allowing you to get what you truly desire.

Now, while you’re still in their shoes reflecting on this; what if they made that decision just to know how would everyone else react to it? Because you’re curious to know would they do the same thing or if you were just curious to know what would happen.

Like if I start randomly rapping,

“hop in a benz, and coupe, money, and power the root, uh”.

What if I just did that just to see how people would react? And what if that’s fascinating to me? So, since I know I enjoy this experience, I’m just going to keep doing it because

“ I like this feeling, Dre in the building. Don’t put the camera in my face — I’m just chillin”

Maybe I made them laugh, become angry, or confused and it’s somehow that’s just enjoyable to me. So, I’m going to do it again because I’m rewarded for it.

There are so many layers and nuances to perspectives, and the only time you really understand them, it’s done when you imagine their life and environment. It has a massive effect that evolves society and changes many of the ideologies we as humans operate on. Profound effects.
